On this page you will find a list of conferences related to commutative algebra. To submit a listing, please use this link. Note that updates to the table via the link will take several minutes. Also, the table does not automatically wrap the text inside cells of the table, so sorting and formatting will be done on a quarterly basis.
Upcoming Conferences
Women in Commutative Algebra, BIRS in Alberta, Canada, October 20-25, 2019.
Organizing committee
- Karen Smith (University of Michigan)
- Sandra Spiroff (University of Mississippi)
- Irena Swanson (Reed College)
- Emily Witt (University of Kansas)
Travel to the conference is supported by NSF DMS 1934391 and as well the AWM ADVANCE Grant NSF-HRD 1500481.
About the Workshop: BIRS will provide lodging and meals for all forty-two participants, and the organizers plan to apply for external funding that may provide travel support. Participants will work in small groups on cutting edge topics in commutative algebra. Each group, led by a pair of experts in the area, will have a dedicated topic. Tentative topics and group leaders appear below. Additional information can be found here.
If you are interested in the program, please fill out the interest form by April 1. Women at all stages of career are welcome to apply, though one must have a Ph.D by October 2019.
*Workshops run from Monday morning to Friday at mid-day. Participants are expected to arrive Sunday afternoon or evening and to depart on Friday afternoon.
